Refine the Jawline. Reduce Under-Chin Fullness. Restore Facial Definition.

Sometimes, even with good health, a balanced diet, and regular exercise, certain areas of the body can retain stubborn fat. One of the most common areas where this occurs is the neck or under the chin.

Neck liposuction is a cosmetic facial procedure designed to remove excess fat beneath the chin and along the neck, helping restore a more defined jawline and a refined neck contour.

For individuals experiencing fullness in this area, modern facial cosmetic surgery offers effective solutions to improve facial balance and contour while maintaining natural-looking results.

Understanding Neck Liposuction

You may have unwanted fatty deposits which you have been unable to diminish through diet and exercise.

These fatty deposits are commonly found in areas such as the thighs, hips, abdomen, buttocks, knees and ankles. Liposuction is the surgical method used to remove these excess fat collections.

Facial liposuction may be performed as a standalone treatment or combined with procedures such as facelift surgery, eyelid surgery, chin augmentation or rhinoplasty.

The procedure involves making a tiny incision through which a small tube, or cannula, is inserted. The cannula is attached to a suction device and is gently moved through the fatty layer to loosen and remove fat cells.

This surgery can be performed on an outpatient basis under general or local anesthesia, depending on the patient and surgeon's preference.

What to Expect After Surgery

Following surgery, you will typically be asked to wear an elastic dressing for several days. This helps support the tissues and maintain your new shape.

Some bruising, swelling and mild discomfort are expected and may last a few weeks. Most patients resume normal activities or return to work within several days.

While it may take up to six months to fully appreciate the final results, most patients feel presentable within 1 to 2 weeks.

Possible Risks

As with any surgical procedure, risks may include infection, bleeding, scarring or skin irregularities.
